The list of nominees for the Best Foreign Language Film of the Academy of Life’s Legends was announced along with the members of the jury by Sajjad Asghari, founder and head of the jury of the eighth round of the ceremony, and Ms. Pouran Derakhshandeh, a prominent director of Iranian cinema, was introduced as the secretary of the International Section of the Academy of Life’s Legends⁶

Asif Rustamov, a filmmaker from Baku and a member of the European Filmmakers Association

Murat Yavan, an international producer and distributor of Turkish cinema

Sergey Anashgin, a film researcher and a member of the Russian Federation Critics Association

And introduced Ms. Pouran Derakhshandeh as members of the jury and secretary of the 8th round of the international section of the Best Foreign Language Film
Then, Asghari, the head of the jury of the Academy of Life’s Legend ceremony, introduced the seven candidates for the Best Foreign Language Film category along with the documentary and short sections

Sajjad Asghari, writer and director of the film Naghmeh, said: After the conclusion of the advisory board, we selected these works from among the world cinema productions with a different approach of the Academy of Life’s Legend at the international level, in order to take an effective step as a trend-setting and leading cinema at the international level by focusing on Asian cinema in the introduction of candidates

At the end of the ceremony, Amir Khanzadeh, as the public relations director of the 8th edition, said: The best foreign language film of the Academy of Life’s Legend in each section will be selected and introduced on February 22 in the New Wave Hall of the Academy of Life’s Legend

The International Academy of Life’s Legend, as the largest independent event in Iranian cinema, annually introduces seven of the most important films of the year in Iranian cinema, along with the best foreign language film. The title of the Academy of Life’s Legend is derived from the Marlik Cup of Life, which is more than 3,400 years old and has four planes engraved on it, which in a way represents the language of cinema

In the previous round, “The Favorite Zone”, a work by “Jonathan Glazer” from Britain, was introduced as the best foreign language film of the seventh round
