Isabelle Hooper, a prominent French actress, was the head of the jury for this period of the festival.
In the Horizons section, Iranian-Canadian filmmaker Arshia Shakiba won the best short film award with her short documentary “Those Who Love the Sun”. Also, the Armani Beauty Award in the Extra Horizons section went to the movie “Witness” directed by Nader Sa’i’ver.
Nicole Kidman also managed to win the prestigious Volpi Cup for Best Actress for her role in the movie “Baby Girl”, although she was not present in the hall and the award was given to her as a substitute.
