American critics celebrate Jeff Bridges

This year’s Critics’ Choice Awards honors Jeff Bridges with a Lifetime Achievement Award.

According to centercinemapress, quoted by Hollywood Reporter, Jeff Bridges was chosen to receive the Lifetime Achievement Award at the 28th Critics’ Choice Awards. The award will be presented to the veteran actor at a ceremony to be held on January 15 in Los Angeles.

Bridges is currently starring in the FX drama series The Old Man.

He won the Critics’ Choice Award for his role in the movie “Crazy Heart” in 2009, and with the same movie, he received the 2010 Oscar, Golden Globe, Screen Actors Guild Award, and Spirit Independent Award.

Among his other films, we can mention “The Last Screening”, which earned him his first Oscar nomination in 1972. His other films including “Lightning” alongside Clint Eastwood, “Spaceman”, “The Rival” and “True Courage” also brought him an Oscar nomination in the following years

Bridges is now a spokesperson for the national Share Our Strength/No Child Hunger campaign, which works to end child hunger in Americ

In a statement, the awards’ CEO, Joy Berlin, celebrated Bridges’ body of work, writing that from his debut opposite his father in “Sea Hunt” to his iconic performance in “The Big Lebowski” and his Oscar-winning performance in “Mad Heart” to his amazing work in “The Old Man” is all about decades of his unparalleled car

Jeff Bridges is a 72-year-old actor, producer, composer and singer, and in 2020 he announced that he was diagnosed with lymph cancer and is undergoing treatment
